Now that we have created our basic shapes it is time for us to create a design through editing of a primitive and then creating an entirely different shape within a few basic steps. We will be looking to make a star through extrusion and then collapsing our extruded edge to a point so that you can have the star look.
Once completed we will save out our star to a cgf and then be able to drag it back in as an object to be used inside of entities or vegetation.
How to Design a Star Using a Cylinder
You need to follow these below mentioned steps to create and save out a star using the Designer Tool:
- First, let's start by adding a Proximity Trigger and the Light Entity from the Create Object->Legacy Entities panel through searching for them and dragging them into the scene. (Make sure to take care in placing where the Proximity Trigger is within your level and how it relates to the Spawnpoint of the player that we had positioned earlier.)
- Let's go ahead and navigate to our initial flowQuickStart graph and add the two new entities into the graph to begin connecting them.
